Whoohoo! Two more layouts!

Yes! I'm on a roll, two more layouts finished this week. I love these, both on (off)white background.

The first as I said in my last post started with using some products that I usually don't get around to using because once the basic layout is built I can't seem to include them after that. So I got out 2 sets of stamps and a bottle of glimmer mist and came up with this.

The stamp usage is subtle. I used a stamp from the Autumn Leaves layered flourishes set on the butterfly and "beauty" letters. Those letters are cut from the same cardstock as the background, stamped and then lightly inked using the same color. The other stamp I used is from the On the Edge set by Autumn Leaves, under the word "Butterfly". I used Glimmer Mist Pearl on the butterfly and the patterned paper. Other new products I used are the QuicKutz Butterfly die and Sugar Sweet and Marigold alphabet dies. I love those two alphabets. The patterned paper is from Kaiser Craft.

The second is about apple pie. Yes, apple pie! I had never baked apple pie when in the photography course I'm doing we were told to make a photo report about baking an apple pie. We were supposed to let someone else bake one while you take the pictures but I couldn't find anyone in time so I did it myself. A bit tricky, hard not to get flour on your camera when doing both at the same time! It was also the first time I baked an apple pie. Thankfully it all worked out, good pics and a good pie!

I used We R Memory Keepers White Out paper, Quickutz Chicago alphabet cut from felt, QK apple dies, Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards stamp set, Tim Holtz fragments and brads.

I'm going to keep challenging myself to use my stash more. Join me! Leave a comment and tell me what stash you are using.

I think your scrapping mojo

I think your scrapping mojo is back on track.. still searching for mine, so if you can help me please.. lol

Your layouts are wonderful. The appeltaart one is just as yummie as the pie itself!!!!

Love them both. You need to teach me the glimmermist trick. I think when I try it will end up in a mess!!

Karin, both of these layouts

Karin, both of these layouts are simply beautiful! I just bought some Granny Smith apples-I need to make that tart!! I love how you made everything surrounding the butterfly black and white and I also love the paper. I have that paper and now I'm inspired to use it.
Thank you for sharing your lovely work:)) Kathy
