Scrapware (re)Opening

Edit: Oops!! I forgot to post the most important pic, the QuicKutz wall!! Well here it is:

On the 22nd of december, Scrapware closed it's doors on the Meerstraat in Hillegom. Yesterday, Scrapware reopened on Vennipperhof 3, a bigger and better store with kids playroom and an amazing workshoproom. I can tell you first hand that it was a lot of work but the result is more than worth it. This store is wel worth a visit, or two, or three or a hundred :).

Here's some photos of this fab new store and the opening day.

Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas Eve, and we're celebrating in Germany with my parents in law (well not officially "in law" but you get the idea). I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2008.

I made some christmas decorations, 2 as gifts for my crop friends, one for myself. They gave me these bottles from the hospital where they work, they use them for creative purposes. I got the idea to make a Christmas tree to put inside the bottles and decorate the outside. I love how they turned out. The snow on the bottom and top is embossing powder, and I stamped the snowflakes on with white stazon.

Coloring Rubber stamps with pencils

With the rise of popularity of Magnolia stamps, I got curious about coloring stamped images with pencils. I'd heard about Karisma and Derwent pencils from scrapbook forums before, but never got into it much. The other day at a crop at Scrapware one of the ladies there, Ingrid, showed me how to color a stamped image using pencils and odorless solvent . The result is the christmas mouse on one of the christmas cards in the story below.

Christmas cards and Birthday card

A quick look at my Christmas cards. Because I am having some RSI problems I can't spend too much time at the PC so I did a quick pic of the cards, sorry the image is a little dark and out of focus here and there.

It was so hard to pick something out of the ideas you girls have given me for my next Christmas album. Too hard in fact! So I'm gonna see if I can combine your ideas somehow, still racking my brain, but in the meantime, you're all winners and all 10 ladies who responded will receive a little something from me!
